Lighting and burning your candle
First burn; to prolong the life of your candle, set aside 1-3 hours so that your candle can remain lit continuously until a melt pool has formed all the way across the surface.
Time can vary depending on the conditions of your room and the size of the candle.
This sets the “memory ring” of the wax and prevents tunneling. Following burns should not exceed 3-4 hours.
Always place candles on a heat proof surface, away from drafts, children, pets and fabrics.
Never leave a candle unattended or use them while you sleep.
Do not move candles during use as the container can become very hot.
Always wait until the wax is cooled and set before moving.
In between burning sessions, trim the wick when cool to approx 3mm.
Remove any excess soot from the top of the wick and any debris from the top of the candle.
The wick may also need trimming if the flame is very high and flickering or the wick is curling or smoking.
If dust collects on top of the wax, clean with a damp cloth.
